Derelict Derbyshire farmhouse up for auction for ?75,000 guide …

A derelict farmhouse in Loscoe[1] is up for auction this month. The four-bedroom detached property on Loscoe-Denby Lane, with views of the countryside, is being touted at a guide price of £75,000.

With no windows and worn brickwork, the house will need major renovation work but its unique style with “charming, original features” and reasonable price may be enough to persuade a buyer. The property[2] also comes with 0.3 acres of gardens and roofed farmland and backs onto the Scarsdale House farm.

While no interior photos of the property have been released, a description on the website of auctioneers SDL auctions says that the ground floor contains a “through hallway” with an “ornate original staircase”, two reception rooms and large dining kitchen. The first floor contains a landing, four bedrooms and a bathroom.

Interested parties can view the property before bidding and are advised that the auctioneers have not personally inspected the property.

Loscoe-Denby Lane connects Loscoe and Denby and provides links between Kilburn and Heanor in Derbyshire.
