Crash between truck and car triggers huge delays on A483

Morning commuters faced huge delays on a key Chester road this morning following a smash between a car and truck. Police were called out to the busy Posthouse Roundabout at 7.30am.

During the height of the incident National Highways issued an alert to drivers warning of an hour-long delay on the northbound carriageway of the A483 between Wrexham and the junction.

Now Cheshire Police has confirmed there were no injuries. A spokesman said: "Police were called to reports of a collision at the Posthouse Roundabout, Chester^[1].

"Officers attended and fund there had been a minor collision involving a HGV and a grey Vauxhall Mokka. There were no injuries and the scene was cleared by 8.20am."
