c2c and Greater Anglia services impacted today amid strike | Echo
Members of the drivers union Aslef at 16 train operators in England will strike today (September 30), as well as Wednesday – coinciding with the annual conference of the Conservative Party in Manchester.
Many parts of the country will have no services today and those that do run will start later and finish earlier than usual.
Here is how c2c and Greater Anglia are impacted this weekend amid the strike:
Today (September 30)
No c2c trains will be running today. The rail firm urges passengers to find alternative ways to travel.
Greater Anglia will run a limited service between Southend Victoria and London. Other routes will have no services at all
First and last trains of the day are at different times. The first train to London at Southend[2] Victoria is 8.15am and the last will be at 10pm. The first from London to Southend will be at 9.47am and the last will depart at 11.45pm.
Sunday (October 1)
Due to ASLEF strike action the previous day, the 06.59am c2c service from Liverpool Street to Shoebury via Tilbury will not run. The first direct c2c service from central London towards Southend will be the 7.29am service from Liverpool Street to Shoebury calling all stations via Rainham and Tilbury.
Greater Anglia’s first services will also start later than normal as a knock-on from the strike. The first train at Southend to London Liverpool Street will be at 5.54am while the first from London to Southend will depart at 7.29am.
