Bristol Road crash victim was ‘love of my life’ – tribute

Flowers, tributes and trinkets have been left in memory of a young biker in Birmingham who died in a fatal crash[1]. Named by heartbroken friends and family as "Ethan", he died after colliding with a tree in the early hours of Wednesday, September 20.

Emergency crews were rushed to the junction of Bournville Lane and Bristol Road at around 2am, and the road was closed as medics worked on the victim. The emergency service effort included an ambulance crew who happened to be returning to base and witnessed the crash.

Despite the life-saving efforts, the victim was declared dead at the scene. A tribute site, set up a short distance from the junction of Bournville Lane and Bristol Road, has been created by his loved ones.

'Life just isn't going to be the same without you'

Colourful flower displays and a bottle of tonic wine were taped to the tree on Thursday morning. Pictures of the young victim also lined the tree with blue ribbon, and farewell messages.

One card read: "Eth. What can I say Ethan, you was the love of my life, my best friend all in one. Life just isn't going to be the same without you and that cheeky smile. Until we meet again, all my love always."
