Armed robbers attacked Cotswolds jewellery shop worker during theft

An appeal has been launched after armed robbers broke into a Cotswolds jewellery store, attacked a member of staff and stole a number of items. Three men are reported to have broken into the shop, located in The Green in Broadway, Worcestershire, armed with a sledgehammer, an axe and a crowbar.

West Mercia Police said the robbery took place at around 2.30pm on Wednesday (September 20). The shop worker was attacked by the three men, suffering injuries in the process, before the robbers left with the items.

The staff member left very shaken by the ordeal, but police said they suffered minor injuries. A blue Range Rover, seen leaving the scene, was found later burnt out on Saintbury Hill.
