A34 closed near Winchester, between A303 and M3, after earlier …
UPDATE: 1.30pm: A full closure of the A34 near Winchester remains in place this lunchtime as crews work to recover a lorry which overturned earlier this morning.
Both carriageways are currently shut between the A303 and the M3 and are now not expected to reopen until 6.45pm.
Carriageway resurfacing work also needs to take place before the road can be reopened.
Further north on the A34, there is still a lane closed, southbound, between the A423 and the A415 at Abingdon.
This is due to a load spillage following an incident earlier this morning. A tanker is currently leaking soya curd, according to reports by the AA.
The road here is now not expected to be cleared until 6pm, reports National Highways.
UPDATE: 9.45am: The A34 remains closed in both directions between the A303 and the M3 at Winchester.
National Highways said it doesn’t expect the road to reopen until at least 2.30pm as recovery and resurfacing works need to take place.

It is not thought there were any serious injuries in the crash.
The closure is causing long delays on surrounding roads and diversion routes.
Elsewhere, there is also still very heavy traffic and long delays on the A34, southbound, between the A423 and the A415 at Abingdon.

6.45am: There are long delays on the A34 both north and south of Newbury this morning (Wednesday).
An overturned lorry has shut the road in both directions between the A303 and M3 at Winchester.
The A34 is closed between the A303 and M3 this morning
National Highways reports that a vehicle has crossed the central reservation and that the road is not expected to reopen until around 10.30am.
In a separate incident, north of Newbury, a broken down vehicle and oil spill on the carriageway has closed one lane of the A34 southbound between the junctions with the A423 north of Kennington and the A415.
This incident is expected to be cleared around 7,45am, according to National Highways.
