Woman suffers ‘life changing’ injuries in Essex car park crash
A pedestrian has suffered life-changing injuries following after an incident involvinga car in a Colchester car park. Emergency services were scrambled to the Waitrose car park in St Andrews Gardens shortly before 3pm on Saturday (August 19).
Essex Police[1] said the force received reports of a collision involving a car and a pedestrian[2] at around 2.50pm. The pedestrian, a woman in her 70s, has sustained several fractures which have been described as life-changing.
Officers located the vehicle involved, a silver Kia Venga, and a man in his 80s is now assisting with the investigation. Eyewitnesses reported seeing an air ambulance land at the scene of the Colchester car park. East of England Ambulance Service Trust has been approached for further information.
