Woman found dead at home 10 days after car crash in Cambridge
A Cambridge woman has been found dead in her home, just ten days after she was involved in a collision. The 52-year-old was found on Thursday, August 10.
It comes after a car crashed through a fence and into a wall in Croft Holme Lane at about 5am on Friday, August 4. At the time, police officers found the woman about 500 metres away from the scene of the incident.
She did not receive medical treatment at the time. It is not yet known whether her death is linked to the collision, but a post-mortem examination is due to be carried out.
The date of the post mortem has not been set. The car was a silver Vauxhall Astra, and is believed to have been the only vehicle involved in the crash.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident on August 4. Anyone with information can call 101 and ask to speak to a member of the serious collision investigation unit, quoting Operation Sidmouth.
