Vacuum cleaner battery starts fire in bin lorry
A DISCARDED vacuum cleaner battery is believed to have started a fire in a waste disposal lorry at Warrington.
The blaze was in Lincoln Close, Woolston early this morning and three fire engines were sent to the scene.Waste material was removed from the vehicle and a hose reel jet was used to extinguish the flames.In a separate incident off Knutsford Road, Latchford, a fire in a wooded area was extinguished by firefighters using a water backpack.
Police were informed as it is believed the fire had been started deliberately.In a third incident one fire engine was sent to a tree found smouldering in Hall Lane, BurtonwoodFirefighters used a water backpack to deal with the incident.
