Two-car crash on major West Lothian road triggers huge rush-hour …

Drivers[1] are facing queues on a major road into Edinburgh after a collision in the early hours of Friday morning.

Emergency services[2] were called to the scene on the A71 between Calder and Livingston[3], after an incident involving two cars. By around 10am, officers remained on the scene.

It’s currently unknown if there have been any casualties or injuries.

Edinburgh Live understands drivers were facing delays in both directions, and the road was closed for some time.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were called around 7.15am to reports of a two vehicle on the A71 between Calder and Livingston on the westbound carriageway. Officers remain on the scene.”
