Police investigate as man’s body found in van on Staffordshire street

Police[1] have launched an investigation after a man's body was found inside a van which had been on fire. Emergency services were called to Paget Street in Burton yesterday to reports of a vehicle fire.
But after extinguishing the blaze a man's body was recovered from the back of the van. Now officers are appealing for information as they are currently treating the death as 'unexplained'.
The alarm was raised at 7.55pm with photographs from the scene showing the area taped off. A spokeswoman for Staffordshire Police said: "We are investigating following the discovery of a man’s body in the back of a van that was on fire in Burton.
"We were called to Paget Street by Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service[2] after they were called about a van fire. A man’s body was recovered from the van once fire crews had dealt with the fire.
"The death is currently being treated as unexplained. A post mortem will be carried out in due course to establish the cause of death. We are keen to speak to anyone with any dashcam footage from the area or those with any information which could help."
Anyone with information should contact the force on 101 and quote incident 637 of August 13.
