Police helicopter rushed to Cov after teen stabbed in violent robbery

A teenager was stabbed and a second was hit by a vehicle in a violent carjacking at a Coventry[1] park. Rapid response officers were sent to Coundon[2] Hall Park Pavilion at around 8.30pm last night (August 5) following 999 calls from a number of worried members of the public.

It is believed the two victims were approached by a group of men from another car. "One of the victims was stabbed, while the other was clipped by the attackers’ car," a West Midlands Police[3] spokesperson said.

"The attackers stole the car that the victims had been in, before both vehicles left the scene. Neither of the victims’ injuries are believed to be life-threatening or life-changing."

The force helicopter was seen in the skies over Daimler Green and Radford[5] for a prolonged period as police made a desperate search for the culprits. Police are now following up 'a number of lines of enquiry'.

"Anyone with information is asked to get in touch via Live Chat, quoting log 3859 of 5 August," the spokesperson added. Alternatively, information can be passed to Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
