Police call for ‘vigilance’ after two crashes on same Cambs road in …

Cambridgeshire Police have asked drivers to ‘stay vigilant’ after responding to two crashes on a Cambridgeshire[1] road in the same evening. The two crashes took place on Thursday (August 3) on the A10 between Royston and Melbourn.

A force spokesperson said: “[On Thursday] evening, our neighbourhood and road traffic officers responded to a collision in Royston, between a van and a car. But that’s not all – shortly after, two more vehicles collided on the same road.

“Other emergency services arrived swiftly at the scene, working together to assist the drivers involved and clear the road. Thankfully, no serious injuries were sustained by anyone involved.

“Remember to stay vigilant on the roads and prioritise road safety for everyone’s sake.” The force shared a video of officers responding to both incidents.”

The A10 was closed in both directions on Saturday morning (August 5) following a ‘serious’ crash[3]. CambridgeshireLive has contacted Cambridgeshire Police for more information about the crash.
