Motorcylist killed in bank holiday crash outside Essex supermarket

A motorcyclist has died after a single-vehicle collision on High Road in Pitsea late on Monday (August 28). Essex Police were called to reports of an incident on High Road by paramedics.

A motorcyclist appeared to have been involved in a single-vehicle collision and sadly, despite the best efforts of the emergency services, died at the scene. Their next of kin have been informed and they are being supported by specialist officers, police have said.

A spokesperson said: “At this stage, we do not believe there has been any third-party involvement in this collision. If you have any information regarding this incident or have any dashcam footage, please contact us quoting incident number 1329 of Monday 28 August.”
