Motorcyclist dies after crash in Swindon with road to remain closed …

A man has died following a crash involving a motorbike and a car in Swindon last night (August 2). The fatal collision occurred at around 10.15pm on Marlborough Road at the junction with Windsor Road.

Wiltshire Police informed residents that a road closure would be in place via a social media post shortly after 11pm last night. Drivers were asked to seek alternative routes as the road was likely to remain closed “for some time”.

This morning, the force confirmed the death of the motorcyclist. The man, who was in his 60s, died as a result of the injuries he sustained in the crash.

A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police told WiltshireLive this morning that the road is likely to remain closed for the rest of the day. Following the incident, the force is now appealing for witnesses to the crash to come forward as an investigation is carried out.
