Motorbike rider dies after crash involving a Jaguar and a Mercedes …

A motorbike rider has died after a crash involving two cars near Sevenoaks. The crash took place on the A225 Shoreham Road on Sunday (August 6).

The motorcyclist was riding a white Ducati Hypermotard heading north between Shoreham and Lullingstone with two other riders. He was then involved in a collision with a silver Jaguar S-Type and a silver Mercedes SL500 travelling in the opposite direction.

Kent Police were called to the scene at 1.44pm and attended along with South East Coast Ambulance Service. The motorbike rider, a man in his 40s, was confirmed dead at the scene.

Officers are now trying to determine the events that led up to the crash. The force is wishing to speak to any witnesses who saw the incident.

A spokesperson for Kent Police said: “Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit are carrying out enquiries and are also urging witnesses and anyone with relevant CCTV or dashcam footage to contact them.

Shoreham Road was closed on Sunday afternoon[5] from the time of the incident until shortly after 9pm.
