Military aircraft exercise to be seen over Lincolnshire
An exercise of numerous types of aircraft will soon be visible over the skies of Lincolnshire[1]. Across both the day and night, as part of Exercise Chameleon the aircraft will travel over the county both on Thursday, August 24 and September 16.
The Ministry of Defence (MoD) website says this includes multiple rotary and multiple transport aircraft[2], Nottinghamshire Live reports.[3] Other areas to be affected during the day include Nottinghamshire and Yorkshire.
Durham, Cumbria, Yorkshire, Northumberland and Lincolnshire are among the areas to be affected during the night. According to Special Operations Forces (SOF) News, Exercise Chameleon is a bi-annual Special Force exercise, involving members of the Special Air Service and Special Boat Service, together with other essential special forces ground units who support them.
The aircraft will fly between 12am and 11.59pm on these dates. To
