Met Office issues wind yellow warning for Hampshire
A yellow weather warning has been issued for Fareham[1], the New Forest[2], and other parts of Hampshire.
The warning will be in place from 4am tomorrow until 6pm tomorrow.
A spokesperson from the Met Office said: “Unseasonably windy conditions, accompanied by showers or longer spells of rain, will affect southern England and Wales during Wednesday.
“The highest winds will affect the Isles of Scilly and Cornwall from early morning, spreading into other English Channel coastal areas during the morning, with gusts expected to widely reach 45-50 mph.
“And perhaps gusts in excess of 55-60 mph in the most exposed spots in the far south and southwest of England.
“Later in the afternoon winds will start to slowly ease.”
Some delays[4] to road, rail, air, and ferry transport are likely, according to the national weather service.
Bus and train services are also likely to be affected.
High-sided vehicles on exposed routes and bridges are also expected to be hit by delays.
The Met Office has said there may be a loss to power in some areas too.
