Manchester trains disrupted due to ANIMALS on railway as …
Passengers were warned to expect disruption on some Manchester rail[1] services while animals wandered on the tracks. TransPennine Express[2] said services between Liverpool[3] Lime Street and York were affected this afternoon (August 13).
The animals were on the line between Dewsbury and Brighouse, in West Yorkshire[4]. A number of passengers reported being ‘stuck’ on services this afternoon while the incident unfolded.
A spokesperson for TransPennine Express tweeted: “Due to animals on the railway between Dewsbury and Brighouse some lines are blocked. Trains running through these stations may be delayed.

“Disruption is expected until 13:45. Your journey may be affected.
“Please check before travel.” The line reopened at around 1.15pm.
