Man fighting for life after being found injured in hallway

A man is fighting for his life after being found in a hallway.

Police were called to Dennett Road in Prescot[1] on Monday, August 14 just before 9pm. It followed reports a man in his 50s was found in the hallway with a serious head injury at a house on the road.

The man was rushed to hospital in a critical condition. When the ECHO[2] went to the scene a police van remained outside an address and a cordon was in place. Blue tarpaulin also covered the door.

Residents living in the area said there were three police vehicles and two ambulances on the street at around 9pm on Monday. Two people, a 44-year-old man and a 42-year-old woman, have been arrested on suspicion of Section 18 wounding with intent. They are both still in police custody for questioning
