Man dies after serious crash involving motorbike near primary school

A man died following a serious collision involving a motorcycle in South Benfleet yesterday. Officers were called to Kents Hill Road in Benfleet shortly before 2.30pm on Tuesday (August 15).

Police attended alongside emergency colleagues from the East of England Ambulance Service. Sadly, despite the best efforts of responders, a man was pronounced dead at the scene.

A spokesperson for Essex Police said: “Our investigation into the circumstances surrounding this incident continue. If you have any information, CCTV, dash cam or other footage in relation to this incident, then please get in contact with us.”

Kents Hill Road is a busy road that runs through South Benfleet and has a number of schools nearby. It’s not known exactly how close the crash was to the schools.
