M6 closure live as traffic halted over injured cows on carriageway

There is mayhem on the M6 after two cows were injured after falling from a lorry. A stretch of the busy motorway has been closed while the animals are moved to safety, sparking long delays.

There are currently queues in both directions due to the closure, between J7 and J10, near Walsall. Cameras show eerily empty carriageways, as drivers have been told to consider using the M6 Toll.
