Live updates as police cordon off petrol station and major road
A main road into Liverpool city centre is closed due to an emergency incident.
Crews from North West Ambulance Service, Merseyside Police and Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service are all in attendance at Scotland Road.
The road is closed into Liverpool, however, the activity seems to be focused around the Shell petrol station, which is also cordoned off.
It is understood that the closure has been in place since around 9am today.
