Live M25 traffic updates today as two crashes leave lanes closed in …

Two crashes have closed lanes on the M25 motorway in Surrey today (Monday, August 21). Two lanes are shut on the anticlockwise carriageway near Junction 13 for Staines.

The latest crash and closure were first reported at around 3.30pm. Traffic delays are building as a result before the lanes reopened by around 2.45pm.

Inrix, the traffic data company, said: "wo lanes closed and queueing traffic due to fuel spillage and earlier accident on M25 anticlockwise after J13 A30 Staines By Pass (Staines). Congestion to J14 (Heathrow Terminal 4). Lanes one and two (of five) are closed for clear up works."

A second crash on the motorway was reported shortly after 4.30pm. Inrix added: "Queueing traffic due to accident, now on the hard shoulder on M25 anticlockwise from J7 M23 to J6 A22 (Godstone). Congestion to just after J8 (Reigate). All lanes have been re-opened. The road is now clear, after traffic was briefly held. some delays remain on approach."
