Live as Leeds M1 crash causes two mile traffic delay misery

A huge crash on the M1 motorway near Leeds[1] is causing miles of queueing traffic.

West Yorkshire Police[2] have partially closed M1 Southbound near Leeds[3] following a crash on the motorway. The crash has happened at J45 A63 Pontefract Lane (Leeds Cross Green), with congestion to J46 (Leeds Colton/ Garforth).

Travel time is currently around 10 minutes with up to two miles of queueing traffic on approach to the crash.

Our travel partner, INRIX, said: “M1 Southbound partially blocked, queueing traffic for two miles due to accident before J45 A63 Pontefract Lane (Leeds Cross Green). Congestion to J46 (Leeds Colton/ Garforth). Travel time is around 10 minutes.”
