Jewellery in suitcase stolen as police issue picture of man they want …
A man was attacked and a suitcase containing jewellery was stolen in the city. Police have issued an image of a man they want to trace.
West Midlands Police[1] said the victim was assaulted in Hockley Street, Jewellery Quarter[2], just before 1pm, on Tuesday, July 18. A bag containing the jewellery was snatched.
A picture of a man police want to speak to has now been released by the force. He is pictured in a hooded top and jogging bottoms.
Taking to social media, Birmingham Police posted: “We want to speak to this man after a robbery in the Jewellery Quarter #Birmingham. A suitcase containing jewellery was snatched from a man after he was assaulted in Hockley Street at around 12.50pm on 18 July.
“Fortunately, he was not seriously injured. Anyone with information can contact us via Live Chat on our website, or by calling 101, and quote 20/623803/23.”
