Investigation launched after large fight breaks out near High Street
An investigation has been launched after a large fight broke out in Lincoln[1]. The fight took place on the junction of the High Street and Corporation Street at around 3.10am on Monday, August 28.
Around 15 people were involved in the fight and CCTV footage is being reviewed. There have been no arrests yet but police said the investigation is “happening at a pace” with several people identified who were involved.
It is also investigating the level of injuries that were sustained as part of the inquiries. Lincolnshire Police[2] also said it expects the status of no arrests to change as the investigation progresses.
Inspector Steve Parker, Lincoln City Neighbourhood Policing, Lincolnshire Police, said: “This is a truly shocking public order incident, affecting people visiting the city and enjoying a night out. Our officers are working hard today to build an accurate picture, and those involved can expect to be contacted.”
Lincolnshire Police said it would like to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time. It would also like to talk to anyone who recorded footage on their mobile phones.
