Inverness and District Model Railway Club get ready for popular …
A STUNNING array of miniature rail marvels are set to delight all ages when a popular model railway club exhibition takes place this weekend.
The annual Inverness Model Railway Club two-day exhibition returns to the Leonardo Hotel in the Highland capital’s Millburn Road on Saturday and Sunday (August 19 and 20).
And organisers are looking forward to a busy weekend, full of all manner of working layouts in a variety of scales, as well as trader stands selling locomotives and rolling stock.
A pre-owned stand will also be present.
The event will run from 10am to 5pm on the Saturday and from 10am to 4pm on the Sunday. Entry is £5 for adults, and £2 for accompanied children. A family ticket for two adults and two children can also be purchased for the reduced price of £10.
A club spokesman said: “The show will feature working layouts in a variety of scales: N, OO, hO and O. In addition, there will be trader stands selling locomotives and rolling stock, and a variety of modelling materials and components. There will also be a pre-owned stand.
“Parking is free and refreshments can be purchased in the hotel between midday and 2pm. The venue is accessible by wheelchair.”
