Hove: Sussex Police arrest man in hospital after ‘serious’ crash
The man, who was riding a moped, suffered serious leg injuries in a crash with a scaffolding lorry in Portland Road, Hove.
The incident took place at the junction with Glebe Villas at 11.50am on Thursday, August 31.
A spokesman for Sussex Police said: “The 42-year-old man was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital for treatment, where he was arrested on suspicion of drink-driving.
“The road was cleared by 2.20pm.
“Anyone who witnessed the collision is asked to report online or call 101 quoting serial 538 of 31/08.”
