Headcorn crash leaves woman with head injuries after car leaves …
A woman has been left with head injuries after a car left the road in Headcorn on Monday morning (August 21)[1]. Officers from Kent Police were called to the scene on Shenley Road by the South East Coast Ambulance Service shortly after 10am.
A road closure was soon put in place while the emergency services worked. Motorists faced some heavy traffic as a result while the closure remained in effect.
An early update from traffic monitoring service Inrix stated: “A274 Biddenden Road in both directions closed, queueing traffic due to overturned car between Shenley Road (Headcorn Aerodrome) and Smarden Road.”
A Kent Police spokesperson said: “Officers attended the scene where a woman was treated for a head injury by paramedics and then taken to a local hospital for further medical attention.”
The car was moved, recovery works completed and the road closure removed at around 11.40am. Normal traffic conditions resumed soon after.
