Gloucester road near Asda to close overnight and every other …

Major routes throughout Gloucestershire[1] are set to have traffic lights installed, or have full road closures in place this week as maintenance teams work to patch potholes, make safety checks, and lay the pipes and cables that keep water coming out of our taps, and our internet fast enough to binge our favourite streaming services. One of these closures will see a major route through Gloucester[2] close tonight, August 8.

The section of Metz Way near the Asda Superstore[3] will close to traffic from 10pm with diversions in place while checks are carried out on the road’s lighting system, which could also affect some of the morning’s traffic. Motorists[4] in the city looking to park near Westgate Street could also face diversions while gas works are carried out on Ladybellegate Street.

There are closures in force this week all across Gloucestershire, as road teams work to repair the county’s pothole-ridden roads and utility companies install infrastructure. Below you will find all the planned closures for Stroud,[5] Gloucester, Cheltenham, Tewkesbury and the Forest of Dean[6] for the next week.
