Early hours crash near Bottisham sees firefighters free casualty from …

Firefighters freed a person from a vehicle following an early hours crash near a Cambridgeshire[1] village. Emergency services were called to Newmarket Road near Bottisham shortly after 3am.

Fire crews used specialist equipment to free the person and spent around an hour at the scene. There is no information on the number or type of vehicles involved in the incident at this stage.

A Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “At 3.10am on Friday 18 August crews from Cambridge and Burwell were called to a road traffic collision on Newmarket[2] Road in Bottisham. Using specialist equipment firefighters released a casualty before returning to their stations by 4.09am.”
