Driver stopped and arrested on motorway for assault

A driver wanted for assault was stopped and arrested on the M40 near the Banbury^[1] Interchange.

After joining the motorway at junction 11 on Tuesday afternoon (August 22), officers from Thames Valley Police’s Roads Policing unit spotted the “passing vehicle of interest.”

They stopped the vehicle, and, after carrying out checks, discovered the driver was wanted for assault from another police force.
