Driver in Royal Stoke as three cars and lorry crash on A50

A driver has been taken to the Royal Stoke University Hospital after a crash on a busy road. Paramedics and police attended after the collision on the A50[1] near to the Duke Street junction in Fenton[2], which links the main A50 with King Street.

Paramedics took a woman driver from one of the vehicles who had sustained minor injuries to the Royal Stoke for further assessment. A second person was assessed and found to have sustained minor injuries which did not require further treatment.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "We were called at 11.43am to a road traffic collision involving three cars and a lorry at the junction of Duke Street and the A50 in Fenton. One ambulance and a paramedic officer attended the scene.

"Upon arrival we found a woman, who was the driver of one of the cars. She was assessed and had sustained minor injuries and received treatment from ambulance staff. She was conveyed to the Royal Stoke University Hospital for further assessment.

"A second patient was assessed and had minor injuries. They did not require further treatment from ambulance staff."
