Children devastated as North Staffordshire climbing centre shuts …

A popular climbing centre has closed suddenly. Clip 'n Climb opened in Lymelight Boulevard, in Newcastle-under-Lyme, in September, 2020.

It featured eight climbs and operated alongside Vue Cinema, Laser Quest, Break Free Escape Rooms, and Go Wild inside the Lymelight Boulevard entertainment complex.

But the High Street attraction has now closed with immediate effect from Monday, August 21. A poster at its entrance states: "We are closed."

The attraction yesterday declined to comment to StokeonTrentLive following its shock closure and its phone was not answered.

In a social media post, Lymelight Boulevard stated: "Due to unforeseen circumstances Clip & Climb NUL is now closed and will not reopen. Please direct all enquires to 01782 638220."
