Child in hospital after A30 crash involving agricultural vehicle
A child has been taken to hospital following a crash on the A30. Three vehicles were involved in the crash, including an agricultural vehicle.
Police, paramedics and firefighters were all sent to the scene after the incident shortly before 10am yesterday (Friday, August 4) in Monkton, Devon Live reports[1].
A Devon and Cornwall Police spokesperson said: “This one was reported to us just before 9.50am today, 4 August. Three-vehicle collision on the A30 eastbound at Monkton.
“Involved two cars and an agricultural vehicle. Ambulance and fire also attended.
“One child sustained a minor injury and has been taken to hospital. One lane is blocked. Tailbacks reported on both carriageways.”
Traffic monitoring website Inrix added: “A30 Butler Way in both directions blocked long delays, queueing traffic due to accident from Honiton turn off (Honiton) to Dumpdon View (Monkton). Congestion to most roads around Honiton including. The A35 as it joins the A30, and Langford Road as drivers divert away from the A30 closure.”
