CCTV appeal after man exposes himself to woman at station

A man exposed himself to a woman who was waiting at a railway station.

Just before midnight on Sunday, July 9, a man approached a young woman who was waiting in the shelter at Warrington[1] West station. British Transport Police said the man sat next to her, before he got up and exposed himself.

He then performed a sex act and when she shouted for him to stop he left the station. A CCTV image was issued on Wednesday by the force, showing a man officers wish to speak to in connection with the incident as he could have information.

Officers are urging anyone who recognises the man, or has information about the incident, to come forward as soon as possible.

BTP can be contacted by texting 61016 or by calling 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference 219 of July 9. Alternatively, information can be given anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
