People living nearby reported hearing a number of sirens going towards the Morrisons roundabout. The road has been from the roundabout to the Mercedes-Benz garage.

One resident said: “There was a loud bang earlier then loads of sirens. I thought it was the works going on at the new Co-op, but apparently there has been a crash on the bypass.”

Humberside Police said: “We are in attendance at a road traffic collision between a car and a HGV on Laceby Road. The collision was reported shortly before 9am. The driver and passenger of a car have been taken to hospital for treatment.”
