Bus goes up in flames in Liverpool city centre

A bus can be seen ablaze in the city centre, close to Lime Street rail station, with smoke emitting from the vehicle.

Road closures in the area are in place.

Arriva North West has tweeted: "Due to a vehicle fire on Elliott St, Services 7 and 79 will terminate and restart at Brownlow Hill.

"Services 75 86 and 86A will use Berry St and Duke St to Liverpool One in both Directions, 82 will use Park Lane in both directions."

Live traffic tracker INRIX states: "A5038 Lime Street One Way Street closed, queueing traffic due to bus fire from Skelhorne Street to Ranelagh Street."
