Boy, 4, hit by van outside Liverpool Lime Street Station

A four-year-old boy was hit by a van outside Liverpool Lime Street Station[1].

Merseyside Police[2] were called to Elliot Street, at the junction of Lime Street following reports of a crash at around 2.45pm on Wednesday, August 2. Once at the scene officers found a four-year-old boy was hit by a van at the busy junction.

The child was taken to hospital for his injuries to be assessed. There's currently no update on the boy's condition.

The driver of the van stopped at the scene. A 23-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and drug driving. A road closure was in place while emergency services dealt with the incident.
