Bike seriously injured in crash with lorry in Chorley

Police are appealing for witnesses following the incident which happened in Chorley on Saturday (August 19).

Emergency services were called just after 7.30pm to the junction of Preston Road and Chorley Hall Road after receiving reports of a crash between a motorbike and a truck.

The bike rider, a man in his 60s, was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

The lorry driver was unhurt.

Sgt Daniel Gunn, of the Road Policing Unit, said: “This collision has left a man with some significant injuries and I would appeal to any witnesses or anyone who may have dashcam footage to get in touch.”
