All of the A2, A21, M2, M20, M25 and M26 overnight closures in Kent …

There are various overnight closures on Kent’s key motorways and A roads throughout the week which motorists will need to be aware of. Works will see closures impacting the likes of the A2, A21, M2, M20, M25 and M26 at various times throughout the week.

Such closures often take place overnight, typically between the hours of 8pm and 6am. As a result, those travelling early in the morning are likely to see their journeys impacted by works that began the night before.

Motorists are already seeing their journeys impacted by the controversial Operation Brock contraflow system[1], which has been reintroduced in order to manage freight traffic heading to the port over the busy summer period. Operation Brock is in place on the M20 between J8 and J9, and has seen the coastbound carriageway closed for its implementation.

There are also numerous key road closures scheduled around Folkestone[2], commencing from this coming Saturday (August 19), due to the hotly anticipated Folkestone Air Display. Full details on the extent of these closures can be found here[3].

KentLive[5] has rounded up all of the works impacting travel on the county’s vital motorways that will be taking place this week. You can find more details of roadworks on the One.Network site[6] .
