A36: Woman dead and two others seriously hurt in crash involving …

A woman has died and two other people were seriously injured in a crash involving two cars and a lorry.

Emergency services were called to the fatal road traffic collision on the A36 near Upton Scudamore, near Warminster, shortly after 2pm yesterday (Friday, 11 August).

A woman, aged in her 70s, was pronounced dead at the scene. Her next of kin have been informed.

Two other people, a man aged in his 30s and a woman aged in her 20s, were taken to hospital to be treated for serious but not life threatening injuries.

Road closures have been in place overnight to allow forensic collision investigators to attend the scene.
