A13 blocked in both directions due to two separate crashes – live …

There is heavy traffic on the A13 in Thurrock this morning following two different crashes on both sides of the road. The incidents have taken place near Fobbing and Stanford le Hope earlier today (August 9).

One lane of each carriageway is blocked as a result of the incidents, with Inrix reporting that there are queues of traffic tailing back from the crash sites. Both incidents have taken place near the Five Bells junction to the south of Basildon.

There is heavy traffic in both directions and there are long delays for motorists using the road. This follows another crash on the A13 yesterday which saw a lorry smash into a bridge and force the entire road to be closed for hours.

We will be covering this incident in our live blow below as we go through the morning. Motorists are advised to allow much more time for travelling or avoid the area completely.
