4 people ‘seriously injured’ in crash involving lorry and ambulance …

Four people have been taken to hospital with ‘serious injuries’ after a lorry and ambulance collided on a Lincolnshire road[1]. Officers from Lincolnshire Police[2] were called to the Lincoln Eastern bypass[3], between the Wragby roundabout and the Greetwell roundabout, at around 5am on Wednesday, August 30.

The ambulance had been travelling on blue lights southbound and the lorry had been heading north. A spokesperson for the force said at 6.49am that the road had been closed in both directions.

Emergency services remained on the scene through the day and accident investigation work was still being carried out around 1pm, almost eight hours later. A spokesperson for the force said: “We are now asking anyone who was travelling along that route at around the time of the collision to check any dashcam footage which might have captured the incident or either vehicle prior to the collision.
