Woman in hospital after being hit by lorry in Lancaster
Police were called to Caton Road at around 1pm on Wednesday (July 26), after receiving reports of a crash involving a woman and a lorry.
The woman was taken to hospital with a head injury. Her injuries are not though to be life-threatening.
The road, between the junctions of the Bay Gateway and Mannin Way, was closed for a short time. It has now reopened.
Police are now appealing for more information.
A police spokesperson said on Wednesday: “We were called at around 1pm today (Wednesday) to reports of a collision on Caton Road, Lancaster, between a woman and a lorry.
“The woman suffered a head injury and has since been taken to hospital. Thankfully her injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
“Caton Road was closed for a short time but had since reopened.
