A crash on a main Isle of Wight road is causing traffic disruption this lunchtime (Saturday, July 8).

The collision has happened on The Downs Road between the Newport Shute and Lime Kiln Shute junctions.

Emergency services have closed the road while they deal with the incident.

Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary have been contacted for a statement.
