The roadworks and road closures affecting Norfolk this week
There are planned roadworks and road closures taking place this week beginning Monday, July 3. Whether your daily commute is to the office or on the school run, it can be frustrating to be held up by roadworks.

Here are the roadworks impacting Norfolk motorists this week
- A47, King’s Lynn – A47 in both directions closed due to roadworks during the night from A10 West Winch Road (Hardwick Roundabout, King’s Lynn) to A1122 Swaffham Road (Swaffham). Until July 8
- A47, Great Yarmouth – A47 in both directions closed due to roadworks during the night from William Adams Way (Harfreys Roundabout) to B1370 Middleton Road. Until July 22
- A11, Attleborough – A11 Northbound closed due to roadworks during the night from B1077 Queens Road (Besthorpe Interchange, Attleborough) to B1135 (Wymondham). Until August 30
- A140 Ipswich Road, Long Stratton – Temporary traffic lights due to telecoms work on A140 Ipswich Road at Hall Lane. Until July 17
- St Nicholas Street, Dereham – St Nicholas Street in both directions closed due to roadworks between Theatre Street and Wellington Road. Until July 6
- Exchange Street, Norwich – Exchange Street closed due to restrictions from Gentlemans Walk to Lobster Lane. Until May 22, 2025
- Norwich Road, Swaffham – Temporary traffic lights due to electricity work on Norwich Road between Dove House Row and the A47. Until August 18
- Northgate Avenue, Bury St Edmunds – Northgate Avenue in both directions closed due to roadworks from Stephensons Place to Norfolk Road. Until July 5
- The Street, Tibenham – The Street in both directions closed due to roadworks from Church Lane to Hill Road. Until August 22
- Saw Mill Lane, Great Yarmouth – Saw Mill Lane in both directions closed due to long-term roadworks from A1243 Bridge Road to Lady Haven Road. Until September 22
