Audley End Miniature Railway has announced a popular themed event will return this summer. The long-standing railway attraction in Saffron Walden revealed on social media the Enchanted Summer Adventure will come back and start on July 22.

The annual event will run through the summer season, ending on September 3. This means guests will travel 1.5 miles through the woodlands, and be entertained by interactive mythical creatures along the way, before doing a trek on “magical pathways” while on a Fairy and Elf Walk viewing their tiny woodland homes.

As well as the Fairy and Elf walk, children hunt for bugs and creepy crawlies at the Nature Corner and also run wild at the adventure play area. Other features include an interactive stage show where they can sing, dance and watch a puppet show as well as wand craft making.

In a Facebook post, they wrote: “Calling all explorers …our Enchanted Summer Adventure returns for 2023! Our creative team have been hard at work helping the mythical creatures move into their new homes here at the railway!

“We will need an explorers help to make sure they stay in the woods all summer long…are you and your family up for the challenge Running every day from the 22nd July to 3rd September, our spectacular summer-long adventure is jam-packed with activities and entertainment ensuring a memorable day out for the whole family.

“Included in ticket price: Train Ride, Craft Making, Fairy and Elf Walk, Nature Corner, Bubble Time, Games Area, Adventure Play Area and Interactive Stage Show We look forward to seeing you throughout the summer!”
