Police update as garage remains cordoned off as stolen car found
A Liverpool garage remains cordoned off,[1] after police made arrests over a car theft.
Detectives confirmed six people who were arrested in connection with the theft have all been released on bail pending further enquiries. Officers first received reports of a Ford Fiesta being stolen from the Bootle area[2], on Wednesday, July 12.
The stolen car was then believed to have been found on Longmoor Close, Fazakerley. Detectives have put a cordon in place surrounding RH Autos and Recovery and have also taped off a number of vehicles outside.[3][4][5]
One of the vehicles appears to be damaged, with the car’s front window being smashed and side panel removed. Previously a 28-year-old man and 26-year-old man were both arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle and handling stolen goods.
A further four people, a woman, 21, and three men aged 17, 24 and 29, have also been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to receive stolen goods.
